What’s at the top of your list?

Not the case list — the other one. The thing about running the firm that has been sitting there a year or two, that you’d fix if you had a free week you’re never going to get.

If a letter from us is what brought you here, this is the page it meant. Pick whichever one is yours — or just call and say it out loud. That’s easier anyway.

The phones

You’ve been through the answering services and every one of them let you down, and you know some number of callers are hanging up on a Tuesday afternoon and never calling back. Usually the cheapest thing here and the one you feel the fastest.

The software you’re already paying for

Clio, MyCase, PracticePanther, Smokeball, Filevine, LEAP — or something practice-specific like Best Case in bankruptcy. Bought, set up over a weekend, and now you use one corner of it.

Turn on what you own →

AI, honestly

Not the hype. Work that got done and never got billed. A client who hasn’t seen an invoice in two months. Subscriptions you should have cancelled three years ago and still pay for every month.

What it actually does →

Social media, done weekly

Over Christmas you had a little time, so you posted a few things. Then February came. It only works when it’s somebody’s assigned job — and nobody gets added to your payroll.

How we run it →

Before we recommend anything, we look

Every firm has a digital mirror — what a stranger finds when they go looking for you. The Facebook page that lit up one New Year’s and went quiet in February. The old address on a profile nobody has touched. The review that never got answered. Inside the firm it’s good cases and things are happening. The mirror often argues with that, and nobody in the office has looked at it in years.

It matters more in 2026 than it used to, because clients don’t just Google you anymore — they ask an AI, and it reads everything, including the parts you forgot were out there.

So whatever we end up doing, we start the same way: a digital snapshot. The better part of a day on everything carrying your firm’s name — the site, the search results, the maps, the reviews, the profiles, the accounts that started and stopped — and a plain report of what’s actually there. Some of it you’ll simply want erased. You control that, and it costs nothing but the decision.

It’s $295. If you don’t think it was worth it, we refund it. No questions.

What gets inspected →

And if it’s none of the four

Tell us what it is. After forty-five years there isn’t much in a law office we haven’t had our hands in — and if it isn’t something we should be doing, we’ll say so.

There’s also the thing that isn’t a service at all: someone to talk to about the business, not the law. That page is here →

How it works if you call

  • We talk. Twenty minutes, usually less.
  • If it’s a fit, we start with the one thing — not a rebuild.
  • Month to month. Either of us can end it with notice. There is no contract you can get trapped in and there is never a lawsuit.
  • We take very few firms at a time. That’s on purpose.

Tell us the one thing.

No pitch, and no contract waiting at the end of the call — just two people who’ve been at this a long time, talking.
